Due to the trial run of our staff rec blog at my library, I'm trying a few new things, and I'll record how I feel about them after I'm done. So far, so good.
In the meantime, I've had a miserable cold, and have dosed myself with some nice fluff by Jennifer Crusie:
Recommended:
Bet Me
Faking It
Fast Women
Welcome to Temptation
Crazy for You
Tell Me Lies
Crusie takes women with a history of questionable decisions, and dumps them headfirst into life-altering situations, determined to show them as women of substance. They always fall into form, lucky for us. Her novels are usually adventures, always romances, and are just fun reading.
Crusie has a great sense of humor, her heroines are shaped like women are shaped, and although her heroes are usually built more like the men we wish we knew, they have nothing but admiration for Crusie's roundish heroines.
I also recommend Agnes and the Hitman, by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer. It reads like a Jennifer Crusie with more guns-n-ammo.
