Indian Killer by Sherman Alexie
I was stunned into blogging silence by this. It is a heavy duty book, no lie. It is also very much a worthwhile read. Sherman Alexie is an amazing author.
The characters of this dark mystery all have a sense of mistrust, frustration and overwhelming powerlessness that makes clear that every shares the same loneliness. Everyone thinks they know what they know, and everyone is wrong. So where do we belong? How do we live in this world?
I heard anecdotally that Alexie once said he needed to get this book out of his system, and so he wrote it, and there won't be another one like it.
