Hero by Perry Moore

I just loved this book. It was forthright and real, even while it was talking about flying and radiation beams and everything that you get with superheros. The emotional content was tender and thoughtful, especially dealing with being a gay teenager. The voice of the characters so practical, I would recommend this to non-superhero readers.
